ESERA Summer School 2019 Crete, Greece June, 4 – June, 9 2019
Notes on Applying: Staff
Dear ESERA Colleague, This note is for supervisors who might wish to apply for the next ESERA Summer School 2019 in Kolympari (Chania), Crete, Greece. At a summer school, supervisors work in pairs to mentor a group of around seven PhD students as they present and discuss their research. Some supervisors also give a plenary lecture or lead a workshop. Attending the summer school gives an opportunity to work closely with science education researchers and students in a stimulating international environment. It is also a way to develop further your skills and knowledge in PhD supervision. Applications are welcomed from all supervisors who are members of ESERA. Information about ESERA membership can be found at: https://www.esera.org/about/membership The ESERA Summer School 2019 will require 14 mentors and additional roving mentors. Traditionally, most of the lectures and workshops have been presented by staff acting as mentors for groups of 7 PhD students – and this is a tradition we wish to maintain. There is no longer a requirement for a staff member to be currently supervising a PhD student who is applying to the summer school.
Staff applicants should create an account and fill-up the fields of the Staff Application Form visiting the following link (https://esera2019.edc.uoc.gr/index.php/esera2019/esera2019/user/account). The deadline for receipt of applications is December 2, 2018. If you have any question please don’t hesitate to contact us at: esera2019-crete@edc.uoc.gr.
